AI assistants for smart homes in Orange County
We connect the lighting, climate, security, audio and shades you already have to one AI assistant, so you can run the house with a sentence instead of five apps.
The discovery call is free and takes 30 minutes.
Plenty of homes in Newport Beach, Laguna Beach and Coto de Caza already have good lighting, climate, security and audio systems. Usually each one runs on its own, with its own app and its own remote, and nothing ties them together.
We connect them to one assistant you can talk to. Near the coast we plan for humidity, strong sun through big windows and salt air on anything outside, whether you're in Corona del Mar, Crystal Cove or Dana Point.
A new build, a recent renovation, or years of devices that have never talked to each other: we start with what's there and set it up around how you live.
What your assistant can run
The systems we connect. You don't need all of them to start.
Lighting
Scenes for having people over, winding down or everyday use, set by time of day or by voice. Say "movie time" and the family room dims while the kitchen lights go off.
Climate
Room-by-room temperature that allows for sun, humidity and the sea breeze. It can start cooling the rooms that get the afternoon sun before they heat up.
Security and access
Cameras, smart locks, motion sensors and gates in one place. Open the gate for a delivery or a contractor from your phone, and check in on the house from wherever you are.
Audio
Sonos, Bowers & Wilkins and other systems, from the kitchen to the patio, controlled by voice or on a schedule.
Shades and blinds
Motorized shades that move with the sun and your schedule. They cut glare in the afternoon, help protect furniture from UV, and close by themselves at sunset.
Wi-Fi and network
Large and coastal homes need solid networking. We use commercial-grade access points, wired connections where we can, and a separate network for smart devices, so everything stays connected.
Why work with us
Planned for the coast
Salt air is hard on outdoor equipment, so we choose speakers, cameras and controls suited to it, and plan around the humidity and strong sun that come with living near the water.
Careful with your house
Technology should blend into the house, not take it over. We're happy to work with your interior designer or architect on where panels, speakers and sensors go, so they stay out of sight.
Privacy first
Local processing where possible, encrypted connections, strong sign-in and a separate network for smart devices. We keep your personal data and home network as private as we can make them.
Nearby when you need us
We're based in Southern California and do the work in person. A new device, a routine that needs changing, getting the house ready for a party: call or email and we'll help.
Common questions
How does an AI assistant run my smart home?
We connect your lighting, climate, security, audio and shades to one assistant. Instead of opening a different app for each, you ask for what you want by voice or from your phone, and routines handle the everyday things, like closing the shades at sunset. It works the same whether you're in Newport Beach, Dana Point or Coto de Caza.
Does it work for homes near the coast?
Yes, and we plan for the coast when we set it up. That means climate settings that account for humidity, shades that close when the strong afternoon sun comes in, and outdoor equipment suited to salt air. We look at each house before planning anything, whether it's in Laguna Beach, Crystal Cove or Corona del Mar.
Can I use it when I am away from home?
Yes. From your phone, tablet or laptop you can check the cameras, change the temperature, lock the doors or switch the lights while you are traveling. Remote access is set up with encrypted connections and strong sign-in.
What about larger properties, like those in Coto de Caza?
On a big property the hard part is coverage. We plan the network so every room and the outdoor areas get a good signal, from the front gate to the back of the garden. Then we set up zones, so lights, audio and climate can be run room by room and voice control works across the whole property.
What does it cost?
Projects start at $5,000. The final price depends on how many systems we're connecting and whether you need new equipment. The discovery call is free, and after we've seen your home we'll give you a written plan with the price before any work starts.
How do I learn to use it?
We walk you and your household through it once it is set up: the voice commands, the app and the routines. We leave you a short reference guide, and if you are on a retainer you can call or email us with questions later.
Tell us about your home
Tell us what's installed and what you'd like it to do. We'll talk through what an assistant could take over and what's involved. The call is free.
